I’ve come to know Fiona as a Senior and later Staff Engineer at my current employer, Gridfuse. There, she has supported my work and professional development in many capacities.

I particularly remember how valuable her support as a knowledgeable sparring partner in algorithm design was while developing a solver for a constraint satisfaction problem.

Beyond my personal collaboration with Fiona, I greatly value her insights, strategic foresight and leadership that guided us through the online migration of our main time-series data repository to a new backend.

But it’s not only her expertise, technical expertise and quick comprehension that stand out. Fiona’s persistence and reliability set her apart, and her appreciative and thoughtful style of communication — as well as her strong social skills, whether in resolving conflicts, finding compromises, or being an understanding and empathetic listener in personal matters at work — have made her a highly regarded and respected colleague at Gridfuse.
